Dear VK owners,
The Town of Hillsboro Beach was awarded federal and state money for beach replenishment as a result of Hurricane Irma’s damage. They are doing preliminary work this week and will start hauling sand to build the beach back up next week. The project is expected to start at the vacant lot and go north to the end of Hillsboro Beach, so the beach in front of VK will be worked on very early in the project. The project is supposed to last six weeks and they are hoping to be done by the third week in March, but that also is weather dependent. It is 100 percent federal and state funded.
Therefore, be prepared for a lot of early morning to potentially all- day truck noise as they work on replenishing the beach for the next several weeks.
